Medical portal integrated with an MIS

A web platform with personal accounts and integration with a medical information system (MIS)

About the project

The client needed a medical portal working together with an MIS. Previously, patient interaction and data management were handled through different systems, which complicated processes and put an extra load on staff. Access also had to be provided for different types of users with different permission levels.

Task

Create a website with personal accounts integrated with the MIS: users get online access to data and services and pay through the site. Correct indexing and a convenient administration system were important.

Constraints

Careful handling of medical data and stable integration with the MIS. Different user roles and correct access separation. Server-side rendering was important for performance and SEO.

Solution

We built a web application with SSR for fast page loads and correct indexing. We integrated it with the MIS so data is synchronized and available in personal accounts. We implemented several types of accounts by role. We connected payments via Robokassa with QR invoices right on the site. We built an admin panel for managing content, users and roles and granting additional access rights.

Challenges and how we solved them

We implemented the MIS integration through a separate layer that processes requests and synchronizes data, reducing dependence on changes in the external system. The role logic was worked out separately. We used server-side rendering for SEO and performance.

Further development

A separate integration layer with the MIS makes it possible to expand personal accounts and data exchange without reworking the core, as well as add analytics on users and services.

Result

We created a single platform for working with patients and internal processes. Users got convenient access to services, and staff got a tool for managing the system. Processes became transparent, and handling payments became simpler.
