Fintech service for dental clinics

A finance accounting and reporting automation system for a clinic chain

About the project

The client needed a tool for managing finances across a chain of dental clinics. Transaction data came from different sources, reports were compiled by hand, and there was no complete picture of cash flow. This made financial control harder and slowed down management decisions.

Tech stack

PythonDjangoReactTypeScriptMUIBanking APIsCash flow

Task

Create a service that automatically pulls transactions from banks, structures them and makes it possible to produce clear financial reports. Give the clinics a tool for monitoring cash flow, balance and funds.

Constraints

Stable integration with banking APIs and correct transaction processing. Accurate classification of operations and system flexibility for different accounting scenarios.

Solution

We built a web service with Python and Django and a React and TypeScript (MUI) frontend. The system integrates with banks via API and automatically pulls and tags transactions. We implemented cash flow, balance and fund accounting modules, so the user gets a complete picture of money movement and can generate reports.

Challenges and how we solved them

Different banks provide data in different ways. We implemented a single integration layer that normalizes incoming data. The transaction tagging logic is rule-based, with manual correction possible in complex cases.

Further development

The single banking integration layer makes it possible to connect new banks without reworking the system and to develop it toward cash flow analytics and forecasting.

Result

We automated the collection and processing of financial data, reduced manual work and made accounting more transparent. The clinics got a tool for monitoring cash flow in real time and generating reports.
